Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan
I bought a property and also paid completely for all maintenance and repairs for the past 6 years. I have paid all taxes, propane etc. My son and his wife resided there. The problem is I put the property deed into my name along with my son's name. Recently he died in an auto accident. Does the property go back to me or is 1/2 automatically his wifes? what about the expenses incurred? Michigan

It depends on the deed language. Is it owned joint tenants or tenants in common? If silent as to ownership, it is considered in common and your sons heirs get the second half.
