Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan
The city snowplow in Vicksburg, Michigan, pushed my mailbox over. When I called the village hall I was told that the snowplow driver said he did not hit the mailbox that it was the weight of the snow that knocked the mailbox down. Since the plow did not acutally hit the mailbox (so said the driver) the city will not replace or fix the mailbox and post. I was told I have to take care of it myself. Is this the law?
