Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan

Complaint for Partition - Order to Answer

Could you tell me what I should or shouldn't include in my ''order to answer''?

My Mom died 3 yrs. ago, no will & the trailer on 3 acres (near White Cloud, MI) was left in all us kids names. It's just sat there & the others couldn't agree to see it when we had offers. Now, the 2 siblings (one never spoke to Mom in the last 12 yrs prior to her death) who are pushing this court ordered sale, want it sold to the highest bidder. Their 3 other lawyers who dropped them as clients, has leans on the property & they want to be paid, thus the reason for this court action. I'm just wondering what I should do.

One other thing, I took care or Mom the last 9 months of life (not 1 time did I get any help from the other siblings!)24-7, around the clock. Question: Can I submit a 'bill' with my ''answer'' & would it hold up or am I wasting my time?

I do appreciate any comments you can provide.

Thank you so much.

MCL 700.38043806 re: submission of a claim to the Estate look it up... it might be too late especially if you received notice, but there are ways around that talk to a lawyer.

Normally though the kind of services you are talking about are considered "gratis." what do you mean "what I should do..." you dont want the sale? Assert a right of first refusal or make the other two an offer...Object to the sale if that is what you want to do. What is a "court ordered" answer?
