Construction lien
General contractor received all money to pay sub contractors. (Commercial.) GC didn't pay sub, sub filed lien and lawsuit. Sub filed notice of furnishing 6 months after delivery of materials, not within 20 days. Does it matter?

Yes, it does matter.
Have you inquired of the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Growth, Homeowner Construction Lien Recovery Fund which phone number is 5.1.7. 2.4.1.-9.2.4.1. This fund was set up for situations in which the contractor did not pay the subcontractor.
