deed
In Michigan what is the difference between ''joint tenancy'' ''tenants in the entirety'' and ''husband and wife, after the married couples name on the deed?

Re: deed
They are estates in land conveying concurrent ownership. The three types of concurrent estates are joint tenancy which has the distinguishing feature of right of survivorship. Husband and wife refers to the tenancy by the entirety which is a marital estate akin to a joint tenancy and prevents one to convey/encumber the property without permission of the other. Finally, there is tenancy in common which has no right of survivorship and the owner's interest is inheritable.
