Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan

eviction

The father of my children and I were together however living different legal residents. The home I live in with the children is actually owned by his Aunt and him. He threaten to evict me and the kids. I have never paid rent or any main bills he has always done that. Do I have any rights to stay in the home? He has obviously talked to an attorney, because he is now calling this his vacation home and is supposedly serving me next week.

Re: eviction

Generally speaking, you have only the rights of a tenant on a month-to-month lease. He has probably spoken to his attorney and is calling his home a vacation home, for tax purposes.

However, I do not have all the facts and information, so please do not rely on this communication which is only a discussion of legal principles and does not create an attorney-client relationship.
