Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan
My father, brother and I have a landcontract in all of our names. The brother wants to try and make us auction off the property so he can make some money. The brother has not paid anything and also has a horse in his name at the property that he has not paid to take care for the last three years. My father and I want to take his name off of the property. The brother soes not want to take his name off. What can we do to get his name off? And also can he force us to auction the property when he has not helped pay anything? We have reciepts of all payments made.

You all need to go to court for a partition suit. Each side will need a real estate attorney. None of you can force any of the others to do anything, without a court order, assuming that you all own an interest in the property.
