Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan

my father recently passed away. i am 20 years old and i have 3 younger minor sisters, my mom was written as primary on life insurance and me and my sisters followed as secondary. what are we entitled to verses what my grandparents (his parents) are entitled to? they are trying to become executive of estate, can they do that?
