Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan

My friend and I, 17 years of age, were recently arrested and charged with retail fraud, in the third degree. We have no idea what to expect, or what precautions to take before our court date on the 21 of next month. Please alleviate some of our worry, and explain what the consequences could be. Also, is it likely that jail time will be served, if we are full time students? Please help!

You are both in pretty serious trouble, as you are charged with a 93 days in jail possible misdemeanor crime. No better advice can be given than to hire a skilled, local criminal defense attorney who knows these kinds of cases.

If you have no criminal record, it is possible to keep this off your record with a good attorney. Finally, going to jail has nothing to do with your status as students. Visit kliszlaw.com to discuss in full detail. Regards, Tim Klisz
