Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan

My friends and I all received an MIP while at our friend's uncle's lake house in Michigan (we are all not from Michigan, as I am from St. Louis, MO). We were outside in the backyard next to the lake around a fire. We weren't being obnoxiously loud or too rowdy. We were all in fact sitting down. The lake house property is private property.

There was a noise complaint (again, we weren't that loud, but if we were whoever called could have told us to quiet down and we would have easily agreed). A cop, in response to the noise complaint, came in the the backyard and saw all the alcohol we had and asked if we were all underage. We said yes and we all went inside and she issued us all an MIP.

My questions:

Was it even legal for the cop to come on private property without a warrant? If not, then shouldn't our MIPs be void or canceled or something?

How much will a first offense for MIP in Michigan cost?

How much would a lawyer cost to represent me in Michigan to get it off my record?

How will an on my record affect my future?

This happened October 2010,and we still haven't received our tickets, whats going on there?

this is not a real estate question, it is a criminal law question, so you need to repost it under criminal law.
