I hold a first morgage on a property since 1996. The borower has paid faithfuly till last July 2009.
He sold the property and moved his business into a new building. What rights do I have ?

If you have a lien on the property, how was he able to sell or transfer it? He wouldn't have clear title to do so. Something is missing from the facts you provided - it doesn't make sense and/or isn't possible. A person can't transfer property when there are liens on it. I presume your mortgage is recorded with the Register of Deeds? If not, then maybe he did have clear title and was able to sell the property. Your mortgage should be recorded with the Register of Deeds. I'd repost your question with more facts so you can get a more accurate response.
