Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan

home foreclosure

Our home went into foreclosure, then was removed before auction. We're sent a modification and we declined it, per advice of a lawyer. Mortgage was then sold to a collection agency. Now what will happen. We have no money, are they going to try and sue? We have existing leins on the property.

Re: home foreclosure

Why did you decline the loan modification? Is there a new foreclosure sale scheduled? Having no money doesn't stop anyone from suing but the mortgage is still valid on the house I'm sure, so you can still wind up kicked out if you are still living there.
