Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan
I have a house that own, free and clear. No liens and all taxes up to date. I want to give it to my daughter, free of charge. I've decided to move elsewhere in my older years and this would be a good start for her new family. How do I sign it over ? Is it like transfering the title on a car ? Would like to do ASAP. Thank you.

It can be done via a quit claim deed very easily. You will need it drafted with the proper exemptions for recording. You also need to speak with an accountant regarding possible gift tax consequences. I can certainly help you with the deed. Contact me at kliszlaw.com to get started. Tim Klisz
