Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan

My husband passed away may 2nd i.am not on the mortgage ar the deed. I am able to pay the mortgage with help until my ss hearing. There was no will the home was purchased afyer we were married. Does the Garn St. Germain law apply to me so i may keep the home and not refinance or remortgage but keep his mortgage. I would not qualify and i am terrified of losing our home and contacting the mortgage co. Please help

Yes, the law can help you keep his mortgage, however, you will still need probate to transfer the property to yourself if you ever want to sell it or will it to someone else. Otherwise, they can't make the due on sale clause effective and you can keep paying on his terms.
