Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan

Hi, I am an international student. I have a residential property in my name, in my home country (India) and I want to sell it. Can I execute a power of attorney here in US, in which I can authorize my father to sell the property ? And get it approved by the Indian embassy and send it to India ? Will that work ?

The law of the Country the property is in would govern, not the laws of the State of Michigan. Since I do not know the laws there I am unable to give any additional guidance.
