Joint tenants...
How do I assure my part ownership of a house owned by me and my brother would convey to my children if something were to happen to me?

Re: Joint tenants...
By including certain language in your deed. You want the language to reflect each of your interests as tenants in common. If this language is not in your present deed, you and your brother could execute a quit claim deed from yourselves to yourselves as tenants in common.
