Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan

Land boundry dispute

I'm buying a property and did the first survey in 30 yrs. revealing the legal boundry to be well over the historic line into the neighbor's lot. What should I know & do about squater's rights to protect my legal boundry?

Discuss this with your neighbor. If you cannot reach an agreement, you may file a lawsuit to quiet title to the property.

If you would like further information or assistance, please contact me via my website at www.lawrefs.com. I do have an informative article on adverse possession.
