Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan

Landlord owes $800.00 for security deposit return. 45 days have past with out notification or claim against tenant's security. Landlord has now begun bankruptcy. If a landlord in Michigan declares bankruptcy is he still liable for the return of the tenants security deposit.
