Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan

Legal formation of community group

I am looking for information on getting an organization formed in our community to review, propose, and fight new developments. I was wondering if you could provide any information that could aid our process. We are also looking for names of lawyers that deal with land zoning.

I appreciate any assistance.

Re: Legal formation of community group

First of all it is not necessary to have a lawyer in the formation of a community organization. However, you may need an attorney depending on what intent your organization has. It does not have to be registered to have an attorney represent them for zoning issues. I have represented individuals for zoning matters in front of boards of review and various communities. In addition I have a background as a councilperson in the city of Southgate that acts as a review board for zoning matters.

If you should have any questions regarding steps your organization should take along with questions on representation, I will be more than happy to answer them.

Feel free to call me at 734 285 0260.

I hope I can be of assistance.
