Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan
I live in Michigan am currently trying to get out of my rental agreement because of the neighborhood I live in is a very poor area. My house has been burglarized twice in the past six months resulting in personal and property damage both times. The lease is very strict about being liable for paying rent until the agreed upon date on the lease which is a little over two months from now but I am trying to get out ASAP. I was wondering if an instance like this may be covered under the Michigan LANDLORD AND TENANT RELATIONSHIPS Act 348 of 1972 Sec. 554.601b, or if there were any other laws that could help me get out of a rental agreement early due to a repeat of B&E and burgluary and a great potential threat of there being more to come. Please let me know if you can help
