Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan
We live on a private road that has deeded access, the deed show all one road to ten houses. The road however is being divided by the east section and west section. i think it should be all one road for maintenamce issues. It is also in the deed that maintenamce should be paid for all residents.

You need to have a real estate attorney review your private road documents, including the maintenance agreement. If there is a homeowners association, its rights and duties are spelled out in the documents creating both the association and the road. Your thinking is likely to be correct, that the entire road is treated as one expense to be shared equally among the 10 properties that it serves.
