Memorandum of Buy and Sell

I purchased a house recently, however, prior to my purchase the owner p;ut the house up for sell. A memorandum of Buy and sell was recorded with the register of deeds in MI. The house caught a fire, and therefore, the reality company didn't sell the property. Unfortunately, the reality company did not remove the lien prior to going out of business. What can I do to get this lien removed?
