Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan
in mi my wife and i owned rental real estate as joint tenants . she applied for car loans using the rental income on the appication. she died can the creditors go after those properties?

I'm sure she did not put up the properties on car loans as collateral. The cars themselves are the liened properties and they can take those back. The debts are owed by her estate and any assets there. Not joint assets. Visit kliszlaw.com to discuss in detail. Tim Klisz
