Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan
michigan act 600.2918(2) &600.2918(2)(f)
we have a tennat that has not changed her utilities in her own name. we told her to move out because she did not pay her rent and stated that the utilities would be off in seven day. she has sent a letter stating it is against the lock out laws in michigan. is does state in the lease she is responsible for the utilities.

I recommend that you visit the appropriate district court and file a proceeding to have your tenant evicted for failure to pay utilities.
