Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan
Mom passed away Apr '06 with 4 adult children a primary home and a rental. The rental is occupied by a son. The executrix gave that son the rental home free & clear deed value of $68k at time of death. Value of primary home $120k at time of death. End of 2010 and home still not sold but value is in $60-$70 range. Can I force her to close the estate and distribute funds and collect extra from our rich brother?

You can try to get the estate moving in the direction to close, but you certainly cannot lean on a "rich" relative to bail out the estate. Kliszlaw.com. Tim Klisz
