Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan

my mother has it posted as no trespassing sign. they didn't do anything when we wanted somebody off our property, he would not let them in our house the sister n law lived here on day not even. and her friends my mother didn't want them in our house. the tresspasser called the cops on my mom and my mom told them i want them off our property he just told my mother to shut up and that he was being un reasonable and the friends could sue my mother, how can the tresspasser sue my mother when its not there property thats inside it was my sister n law, and my mother kept on saying there not going in the house somebody took our sign down and he said you put back up and where going to have problem my mother asked to put give them a citizen citation he refused, how can protect our property when the govt wont, is it because we have someone in our home that has a record or are they just tired of being mediators, all we learned is dont bother, if my mother was sitting in the middle of the drive where people come in and they probaly wouldn't of done anything as if they try to run her down she said your not parking on my property. and the officer basically would of said you should not have being sitting in the drive middle of the drive way what if i put my laptop behind there vehicle and they run it over are they responsible for the damage to property. hypothetical how can we get them to get someone of our property. when they dont do anything. thank you. all we get every time my mom calls she is the one thats threating to take to jail for stupid stuff. we live in michgan.

If your property is not normally held open to the public and a person walks upon it, they are a trespasser and can be removed from the property. When a no trespassing sign is obviously posted, and a person enters upon the property uninvited, this shows an intent to trespass. If the trespasser will not vacate the property, then law enforcement should remove them. When law enforcement will not perform its duties, a complaint can be filed against the police.

Consider filing for a Personal Protection Order. Consider also hiring an attorney write a letter to the trespassers and/or the police on your behalf. If you would like me to do so, please contact me via my website www.lawrefs.com or via email at [email protected].
