I am uncertain why this question got forwarded to an Indiana attorney. First I would recommend you retain counsel in Michigan in or near the county where your property is located. Absent doing that if you have a deed to the land or a contract or a lease or some other written document that shows you as the owner or person with a superior right to possession of the land, you have a right to send a letter to the persons you believe to be holding the land and request they either remove themselves and/or include proof of your ownership and request they present to you their proof.

Most generally a landowner who discovers intruders on his land has a right to demand whoever is there leave. It is when the persons in possession do not leave voluntarily and peaceably that you need to resort to the local courts for assistance.

As long as you can prove that you are title owner, either by way of deed or land contract, you may simply serve the persons on your land with a notice to quit as tresspassers. This is a statutory form which you can get at any courthouse and service can be in person, regular or certified mail, or by posting.

When they fail to leave after your notice, then you must go to court and evict through court process. I would advise that you retain local counsel for this purpose.
