Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan

promise to grant first chance to buy adjoining property to home buyer 8 years ago, Michigan. Told them a price three years ago, they never acted or countered. Sold to different buyer, now the other party wants to sue.

The other party has no basis to sue, unless they PAID you for an option to purchase. There must be consideration to enforce a promise.
