Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan

Property line

My neighbor is claiming to own five feet on our side of a fence that has been there for over thirty years. She wants to force us to give her access to those five feet (they are inside our fenced in back yard). What options do I have?

If she has a survey that evidences that the five feet are hers, consider giving them to her and moving your fence. Alternatively, consider denying her claim and possibly becoming embroiled in a lawsuit to quiet title to the property and arguing that the property is yours via adverse possession.
