Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan
Property lines
I have a small cottage in Northern MI, My neighbor and I never had a survey. My neighbor passed and his kids took over. They surved and found my two sheds and my septic tank are on there property by a small amount. It has been this way for 16 years. Do I have any recourse?

You need to be more specific with your question. What are they arguing against you? Is there a need for recourse? If you are referring to rights of adverse possession, please see my website at www.lawrefs.com under real property heading there is an article on adverse possession. If you have further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me directly via email.
Re: Property lines
After 15 years of open and notorious claim to the property, you can file a lawsuit to clear title to the property under the adverse possession laws of the state of Michigan.
