Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan
Purchase of a house
Even though we signed papers to purchase a house, we need to back out. We signed the papers at 6:30pm on 5/18/09, then sent our agent an email the next morning 5/19/09 at 8:30 telling her we needed to back out due to a private matter. We are being told we may have to go through with the purchase wheter we want to or not. Is this true?

Re: Purchase of a house
Absolutely not. The worst case scenario is that you would lose your earnest money deposit that you put up. They cant "make" you buy a house. Visit www.kliszlaw.com for assistance. Tim Klisz
