Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan

hello my question is how to get my deed to my house? my husdand and i bought a house 1985 by land contrac and we paid it off in 1990 about and the person said he would file the deed.but we didnt think about the deed for some time and now we tryied to get a copy and the court house cant find it anywhere .we have lawyers title insurance woul that help us get a deed . thankyou for your help

Certainly talk to the title insurance company. They might be able to help. If not, you will need to track down the seller and establish probate if needed.
