if you buy a home as is, do you have any recourse when obvious damages are concealed at purchase?

You may have recourse. The seller gave you a Seller's Disclosure Statement. It depends on what it stated on the Disclosure Statement. Also, you will need to have the damage looked at by an expert. If it appears that the seller had to have known about the damage and did not disclose it, you may have a claim against the seller. For more information, please contact my office at (248)8513171.
