Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan

Can a realtor sue us if we decide to sell with someone different or do it our selves! we haven't signed anything with this guy,he's mad because we have changed our minds.the realtor is very creepy thats why we want away from him.my question is can he sue us in any way for not staying with him.my husband said the realtor had papers on havivg our place sold within 6 months. do we have to wait 6 months so he doesn't sue us? personally i think he's just trying to scare us. it's our business we are selling he just wants the money.thank you.
