First Right of Refusal/ Construction Bid
I purchased a property from a developer with a clause in the contract tat states ''Buyer agrees to give seller a first right of refusal to be the builder of buyers home, seller will have 30 days to bid for the build job against an arms length proposal(bid)''when it was explained to me, it was explained that the builder would bid the job also but i did not ultimately have tu use him, after speaking with the builder now, he says that he has the right to build my home or any part of the home(roof, flooring, basement, etc..)that he underbids or matches any of the bids I provide him. I do not want him involved in building my home because i planned to contract all services for the build myself. I did not fully understand what I was signing nor was it explained properly to me, is there any type of action I can take since I did sign a contract stating that i would give first right of refusal to be the builder?

Hmm. You're building a house: it's pretty important to understand what you sign.

This time, consult an attorney.

You might be able to get out of the right of refusal with a cash payment, so look at mediating the case as well.
