Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan

I had a roommate that owes me money for past bills. They also damaged the room they used. There was no lease just a verbal agreement. They did acknowledged that they owed me money via email. Do I have a case???

Yes. Your best route will be to go through your local small claims court (looks like that would be Mt. Clemens District Court based on your zip code). Attach the email to your claim, and you'll be fine.
