An auto salvage yard next to my premises has decided to clear forest and expand the yard. In the process they have cut trees over the property line and have cut some mature oines of mine. How do I stop this and be compensated for my loss?

With the limited facts provided, it appears that you may have some type of action for trespass when the adjacent property owner cut some of your mature trees. These types of issues can be settled by sending correspondence to the adjacent property owner and/or bringing an action for trespass in your local courts.
