Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan
I was told by the police that because I live on a private road ( because I have an association) that they can Not do anything about a couple of kids that speed through my street and almost hit my 9 year old daughter with about 10 witnesses to the event, one of the kids had 66 complaints on him last summer from my street, all the police ever say is we cant do anything you live on a private road, yet my road has public access and we have 15 mile an hour speed limit signs, one of which is right in my front yard where my daughter almost got hit. Just because I have an association does that really mean the police can not do anything?? they said they can only do something if my daughter would have been hit or killed, well by then it's to late.
