Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan
how to void a quit claim deed acquired frauduently
a potential business associate backed out on our arrangement before we completed negotiations for our business venture by creating a loud arguement and asking me to leave her home. She consequently called the police and tolf them I had attacked her. They saw through her fabrication and let me go. She however got into my brief case and removed a completed quit claim deed made out to her that was going to be used as a guaranty for her getting compensated in our business arrangement. The deed was to be simply held and not recorded unless she had to use it for compensation. She then recorded the deed and got a personal protecftion order against me and got the judge to include the property address of the quit claimed property. that is my personal residence and I was removed by the police. they told me to get the coourt to decide. I purposely misspelled her name on the deed as a precaution but she simply corrected the spelling and the register of deed recorded it anyway with the correct spelling. what do I do?

You need to start by filing a complaint with the police department. The deed was stolen. Furthermore, it is not a valid deed since it was never delivered by you. Next, you need to file a complaint against her in circuit court with a motion to strike the protective order.
