Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan

Will/Quit Claim Deed

My brother & I had a will made leaving everything to each other. I own a Condo, he really has nothing. If he goes first w/QC to my son, can another, older, richer brother come along and contest the QCD and fight my son for the Condo after I am gone? How can I assure myself & son that my older brother will not be able to get his hands on my Condo instead of my son? What can I do now to protect my son, even if he lives in another state and wants to rent the Condo out for income? The poor brother has cancer and might not live that long, so I'm worried. I already signed the QCD. Thank you very much!

Re: Will/Quit Claim Deed

How would your brother have any claim to your condo over your son? That is crazy. State law without a will says the property goes to your son. No worries here that I see. If I am missing something, visit me at www.kliszlaw.com to discuss. Thanks, Tim Klisz
