Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan
Five years ago my family and I moved into a home owned by my mother, without a verbal or written lease. The only agreement was that the house would be mine instead of my inheritance, ie when she passes away ownership would become mine. However recently she has decided that she doesn't agree with the way we live our life and has decided that we need to move out. She also wants to come in and give us an "inspection" while we still live here. What rights do I have? What kind of actions can I take.

She owns the house and you are tenants at will. She needs to give you a 30 day notice to quit and then can file for eviction. The inheritance part was nothing to rely on, as she can change her mind at any time. Tim Klisz. Kliszlaw.com
