Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Michigan
Is being of an alternate lifestyle a crime in the workplace!
Within the last past 3 weeks I have come to find out that one of my co workers is writing, very lude and descriptive sexual comments about me in the mens bathroom, please keep in mind that where I work, hundreds of people fly in and out everyday and have more than likely seen it, as well as have half if not all the people I work with (500+). The supervisors and managers are aware and are investigating, but what can I do when I go back to work and people bring this up. I have already had someone come to me outside of work mentioning the incedent. Can someone tell me if I possibly have a case, or what I can do!?

I'm not sure what you're really talking about here. No, having an "alternative lifestyle" is not a crime [well, some are, but I'm not using the term euphemistically here], but that's not what your post is about from what I can see. If your co-worker is saying things that are untrue (athough from your posts, it appears that they are true) and are spreading it, you may havea defamation claim. But, of course, the statements would first have to be untrue for that to work.
Bottom line: your personal business has no place in the workplace. If you introduced it there, the genie is out and all you can do is damage control. If you didn't, make sure you follow up with the situation through your employer discipline process. If the employee is not prevented from violating a protected workplace right, then go to the EEOC.
