Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Michigan

Letter

Two weeks ago I received a letter from a co-worker that has left me scared and very uncomfortable at work. It was very sexual in nature and suggested that I go to his house for sex. This and other incidents involving this person have affected me personally since I am a young single female living alone and he is much older and lives fairly close to me. It has also affected me professionaly at work since I work close to him on a daily basis. My superiors were notified immediately about this man's advances yet no action has been taken. I am considering transferring or quitting my job although I know I should not have to. Do I possibly have a case?

Re: Letter

You may in fact have a case. The failure to investigate and take immediate action could place your employer in a position where it can be held responsible for continued harassement and an ongoing hostile work environment.
