Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Michigan

My Son and other boys was told that one of the boys had sex with one of the girls in school the boys which was told this story told some friends. At the same time the girl told a story about the boy. Neither student had contact with each other while the stories were told. Is that considered sexual harassment? My Son was kicked out of school for repeating what he heard and was told that was sexually harassment. Is that true?

What makes you think that repeating harassment is any different than initiating it.?
As my mom use to say, "If Bobby jumps off a bridge, does that mean it's OK for you to do it too?".
