Tax refund stolen
My wife had our joint refund didect deposited to an account without my signature. Is that legal? My sister in law does our taxes (CPA) does she have any liability for helping arrange this?

Re: Tax refund stolen
Unless you are in divorce court, this is a marital problem, not a legal one.
Direct deposit doesn't require anyone's signature. It had to go somewhere, right?
If you are in divorce court, you can use that against her, but chances are it's only going to get evened out in the end. The court isn't going to argue about whether you ok'd her doing it or not. And certainly isn't going to get the sister involved, when she clearly had at least one spouse's authorization.
