Legal Question in Traffic Law in Michigan
a cop pulls you over and says you're speeding. but give you a ticket for impeding traffic. you fight the ticket. several days before your court date the officer that wrote the ticket calls you on your personal cell phone and tells you he's going to ask the magistrate to bring back the speeding ticket so it's best to my interest to pay the impeding traffic ticket so I can avoid points on my license I tell the officer I feel intimidated. and I don't know how he got my personal number but dont seems like it's legal. can he do that? To add, I wasn't speeding. I told the cop I wasn't.

Any lawyer in the state would question your sanity in fighting a charge of impeding (No points and no report to the SoS or your insurance company). Why you didn't agree is puzzling.
