Legal Question in Traffic Law in Michigan
My daughter got a ticket an the police Officer wrote it in my name when she wrote the court an told them they transferred the ticket into her name is any of that legal? I would think being the ticket was in my name an I wasn't driving they should throw it out! Not sure what the law is she has a court date.

They can throw it out against you, and then re-write it for your daughter. Technicalities are rarely fatal to any police work. They can easily fix typos and other things, or just re-write them. If you daughter wants to avoid points, have her contract me to represent her.
