Legal Question in Traffic Law in Michigan
Drives responsibilty
Is it really legal for a person to get a $25 ticket pay it and then have the state charge you $250 for the next 3 years for getting the $25 ticket 4 years ago? This law sounds like it came straight from the extortionist handbook.

Re: Drives responsibilty
The Driver's Responsibility Act and fees were enacted several years ago by Governor Granholm, so technically the fees you are talking about are legal.
