Legal Question in Traffic Law in Michigan
No flashing lights - A few days ago I got a speeding ticket after I was pulled over. As soon as I saw him in my rearview mirror, I pulled into a gas station. A friend of mine told me that I can contest the ticket in court because it's some kind of Michigan law that says he has to use flashing lights to pull someone over.. Is this true?

Never heard of it and it makes no sense either. You can search all Michigan statutes online for free. Good luck. www.kliszlaw.com Tim klisz
You can and should fight the speeding ticket anyways. Just try not to use the 'flashing lights' defense if you're going to fight it on your own. Your friend is misinformed.
Remember, don't just pay the ticket. Contact the Court and get a hearing date or hire an atty. The latter is the better option. You don't need the points on your driving record because that only creates more problems for you in the future. Best of Luck. Go to this website for help. www.michigantrafficviolations.com
