Legal Question in Traffic Law in Michigan
Improper Lane Use
Recently while up at school and I was driving to the bank. I was traveling north down a high traffic area, I was in the left lane of the 2 lane road stopped underneath a traffic signal behind other vehicles that were turning left onto another street when I realized this I put on my turn signal and waited for traffic to clear when traffic finally cleared I proceeded to go into the right lane. But as I was pulling out another vehicle turned off a side street at the same moment and we got into an accident. So the officer came and looked at the damage that was put on each vehicle and then proceeded to write me a ticket for improper lane use. I already have an informal hearing and I was wondering if I could get some legal advice on this matter.
